Traditionally, members of Vasco da Gama Cultural & Civic Center have access to sports bar, discounts on hall rentals, education for their children and low priced beverages. 2008 will be a very big year for expanding benefits for our members by forming partnerships with business. In the first part of the year we have established three partnerships that allow members to received discounts on home heating oil, discounts at leading sports retail store and discounts at floral store. This is just the beginning and in the upcoming months we will be expanding our partnerships with business providing physical fitness, martial arts and more retail stores. The following is a summary of the current benefits and partnerships.
Rental of events hall - with a full kitchen setup and dance floor the hall can be utilized for weddings or many other personal events.
- Sports bar – Central area for members to socialize and enjoy a great Portuguese style lunch or dinner or watch soccer games directly from Portugal. Members also enjoy very low beverage prices!!!
- Library – all members can utilize the library which host several computer systems with internet access.
- Education—members have an opportunity to enable their children learn the Portuguese language
- Wireless access – members can enjoy free internet access from anywhere within the facility
Expanding Member Benefits through Partnerships
Building partnerships with businesses in the local community provides members with the following benefits:
- Ramos Fuel, Bridgeport— allows members to purchase home heating oil at 29 cents above wholesale prices.
- Rosa’s Florist, Bridgeport—provides members a discount of 10% off retail prices
- Soccer Post, Fairfield—provides members a discount of 20% off retail prices.
